The three dimensional maneuvering gear is also referred to as the omni-directional mobility gear. It was famously used in the attack on Titans. It refers to a specialized set of armored wear that is made by humans specifically to face the titans. The 3D Maneuver Gear is good at giving great mobility to the user as well as improving their combat capabilities. It allows the wearer to be in motion in a 3D space and not just a 2D space like ordinary wear. Technically, it is more like a body protection layer that covers a majority of area below the neck, the back and the thorax. The garments are great to fight and they represent a new wave of combat capability. However, the user must use them regularly to get enough practice and perfect mobility. They are learned just like any other weapon; the user must use them appropriately to get streamlined combat capability.

The wear was first described in the famous novel, Attack on Titan: Before the fall. Legend has it that it was invented between the years 775 and 788 by angel Aaltonen. All descriptions and capabilities were well defined in the original model and little improvement has been made to change it to date. The 3D maneuver suit was considered a first class weapon and still is a dangerous combat tool to date.

The 3D maneuver suit has many tools and accessories attached in order to properly function. It has tangible handgrips, piston shot grapple hooks, gas power mechanism and an iron wire propeller with inbuilt blades. It is made as a steel wire stored inside the body to provide technical strength, with the rest of the body centered on two axles rotating independently. It has an operating device for control as well as the body comprising of a compressed gas cylinder. Finally, there is a fan section is used to cool up. Gas is forced out of the cylinder to drive the fan to the degree needed.
Ordinary users with 2D space movement cannot match this suit’s capability. It allows 3D movement and provides the user with extreme ability to move around in space. However, the users must posses a lot of physical strength especially in the legs to allow the leaping and coordination. They must have spatial judgment abilities and the mental fortitude to survive flying sensations. The users must also remain upright always during the training and in combat.

The suit is used in a myriad of ways. The easiest is aiming and shooting with the grapple hooks, followed by activating the gas in order to reel your body against the target object. What follows is disconnecting the hook and looping the process indefinitely. The soldiers always ride on momentum while applying this technique, thus giving a flying impression and an edge of a third dimension in motion. There are more specialized abilities such as changing direction mid-air but they need huge experience.
