Main Characters
Eren Yeager
Eren Yeager is a young man who lost his mother to a Titan on the day when Titans invaded the walls of Shiganshina. This tragedy caused Eren to loathe the Titans and seek personal vengeance. He dedicates the rest of his life hunting down and killing the giants. He was eaten by a Titan during a battle, only to reappear as a 15-meter Rogue Titan who fights other Titans.
Mikasa Ackerman
Mikasa is Eren’s adopted sister. She is quiet, often serious, highly adept in battle, and very protective of Eren. Eren saved her years ago when slave traders killed her parents, leaving her as an orphan. Eren pushes her to have courage and to fight back. She graduates top of the cadet class and is often regarded as one of the most skilled soldiers.
Armin Arlert
Armin, Eren’s childhood friend, is a smart boy who can think of the best solutions to even the most pressing problems. For example, he was able to convince the military and squads not to fire cannons at Eren, Mikasa, and him when it was found that Eren can turn into a Titan. On several occasions his out-of-the-box ideas turn a problematic situation around.
Rod Reiss
The real king of Wall Sheena, Rod Reiss, holds some powerful secrets that reveal the truth about the Titans and the future that lies ahead. He is the real force behind the puppet ruler King Fritz.
Synopsis
One hundred years prior to the story, giant flesh-eating humanoids suddenly appeared and almost wiped out all of humanity. Survivors of the tragedy built high walls to protect themselves from the Titans, and they have been living in peace inside the walls for hundred years. Suddenly, Titans break into Wall Maria, the outermost wall, and panic among the people ensues. The war between Titans and humans begin.
Eren and Mikasa lost their mother, Carla, on a bearded Titan, and since then vowed to exact revenge. Humans, with their high-power combat skills, 3D maneuver gear, and weapons, fight in teams to take down the giants by striking them at their weakest points, their nape.

Humans Turn into Titans
Five years later, Eren, Mikasa, and Armin are on their first assignment in Trost District. During the battle Eren was swallowed by a bearded Titan. Armin and Mikasa, although deeply mourned for this loss, had to continue to fight the battle as more Titans are approaching. When it seemed hopeless to win the fight, a 15-meter Titan suddenly appears and fights other Titans on sight. This surprised everyone in the battlefield as Titans rarely fight against each other.
It was later on revealed that the Titan was actually Eren. He has the ability to turn into a Titan because of something his father injected into him when he was still a boy. Some saw this ability as a threat to the safety of mankind, while others saw it as an asset to help defeat the Titans. Nevertheless he was taken in by the Survey Corps’ Special Operations Squad led by Captain Levi.
While on a mission to Shiganshina, a Female Titan attacks and devastates the Scouts. The Titan tried to capture Eren but failed to do so, leaving countless casualties on Levi’s squad. Armin, Eren’s smart friend, later on figures out that the Female Titan is none other than Annie, one of the cadet trainers of Eren.
The Truth about Titans
As more people are being discovered to have the ability to turn into Titans, the question as to how they got these powers persists. When the Survey Corps aroused a rebellion against the Royal Family using Eren and Historia, the real king, Rod Reiss, captures the two instead. He then reveals that the Reiss family is the original Royal Family of Wall Sheena and Historia, his daughter, is the heiress to the throne. He also revealed that the Walls were in fact built by a Titan 100 years ago, and the populace’s memories were modified. Some bloodlines, however, were spared from these modifications, but their descendants did not learn of these truths. The Royal Family knows the truth of the Titans’ origins, and they are determined to keep it a secret.
Only the person who holds the Titan’s power knows anything about the new world, and Rod Reiss will do everything to take that power back.
