DESCRIPTION
The Murasame otherwise known as One-Cut Killer: Murasame (full name) looks like a Japanese Nodachi or long-sword, with a rectangular guard or tsuba.
SPECIAL ABILITIES
The Murasame is a lethal sword with the capability to kill with just a single cut. When the blade pieces the skin, it introduces a deadly poison to the victim’s body, killing him in a matter of seconds. Akame reveals that cleaning this blade is extremely dangerous due to this special ability. Nonetheless, this ability will only work on natural beings with a heart, making it unsuccessful against Teigu, Armor and machines. It is also infective against the corpse dolls designed by Yatsufusa. Lubbock states that Akame is unable to use her trump card allegedly for strange reasons.
In the series, the trump card is a strength and speed enhancer, by slicing oneself with this blade and preventing the poison, thereby admitting that you are responsible for all the deaths caused by the weapon. One’s scleras change color and marks are visible around his pupils. Marks are also seen along one’s body and become scars when its effect reduces.
USERS
The two major users of the Murasame sword are Akame and her trainer Gozuki. Akame is considered to be one of the most powerful members of the infamous night Raid gang and also one of the most deadly in the entire Empire, with the ability to kill the strongest enemies with little effort. She wields the Murasame, which is always coated in a lethal poison.
Gozuki is another user of the deadly weapon Murasame. He was the leader of the recently created assassination unit of the empire, the Elite Seven, which is featured in the prequel Akame Ga Kill!: Zero. He had the Murasime and wielded it competently.
FEATS
The Murasame was used in several fights. The Night Raid member and the former
assassin unit of the empire carried the demonic weapon. The Night Raid Assassin Group recruits Akame to help in their battle against the Empire to help stop it corrupt deals. As soon as the Night Raid group defeats majority of the Jaegars, a new police unit, Wild Hunt, is secretly formed.
Nonetheless, this new police force greatly abuses its power by killing many civilians,
making it an enemy of both the Night Raid and the Jaegars. The sword is also used in wild battles where an estimated 100 kids are trained in the midst of Danger Beasts to help fight the enemies.
